Onebane attorney, Lauren Gardner, was crowned the 2016 ReProm Queen for Lafayette Education Foundation. LEF’s goal is to encourage innovative and exceptional teachers and classroom strategies to ensure that every child has the best chance possible for success. LEF has funded over $2 million in classroom grants since 1989, enhancing the learning experience for thousands of students. Through the annual Teacher Awards, LEF has recognized over 4,200 educators, awarding $396,000 to outstanding educators. LEF also provides funding for a variety of literacy and social-emotional learning initiatives, connecting education to the real world.
ReProm is LEF’s biggest fundraiser with money being raised by the ReProm Court. Whoever raises the most money is crowned ReProm King and ReProm Queen on the night of ReProm. This year, the ReProm theme was “Back to the 80s.” Onebane attorneys, Jeremy Shealy, Jasmine Bertrand, Tommy Smart, Greg Moroux, and James Bayard also attended this event and helped support Lauren and LEF. A good time was had by all and the Onebane Law Firm is thankful to be able to participate in this event and help support our local teachers, students, and schools.
