Gregory K. Moroux is Of Counsel in the Lafayette, Louisiana office of Onebane Law Firm, where he practices primarily in the areas of Labor and Employment and Medical Malpractice. Mr. Moroux is an experienced litigator and has been litigating various issues for over 28 years.
Mr. Moroux began his legal career in Baton Rouge doing mortgages, collections, and Regulation Z cases. He was appointed an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the criminal division of the Western District of Louisiana where he prosecuted federal crimes exclusively in the federal courts. While an Assistant U.S. Attorney, Mr. Moroux’s focus was narcotics prosecutions, and he handled criminal cases that included: civil rights, bank fraud, mail fraud, gun and explosives violations, narcotics, federal intimidation, extortion, counterfeit, bank robbery, import/export violations, Medicare fraud, and others.
Mr. Moroux then focused on insurance defense, including premises liability, automobiles, insurance issues, and commercial liability. He also represented governmental entities in Civil Service matters, Fire and Police Civil Service, Police Misconduct, Civil Rights, Expropriation and Imminent Domain, Land Use, and Insurance issues in public liability. Mr. Moroux also was panel counsel for the State of Louisiana in its DOTD cases, and did some high profile celebrity cases.
