Emily earned her Juris Doctor Degree, cum laude, from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in May 2016. While in law school, she was a member of the Loyola Law Review and served as an Editor on the Loyola Law Review Editorial Board. She was also a Judicial Extern to Louisiana Third Circuit Court of Appeal Judge, Phyllis Keaty. Additionally, Emily worked as a research assistant to two distinguished professors, assisting in editing and the publication of various articles and books.

Prior to attending law school, Emily graduated from University of Louisiana at Lafayette where she received a degree in Communications. After graduation, she pursued a career in real estate, where she worked in Lafayette for four years. During this time, she was an active member of the Realtor’s Association of Acadiana, serving as a board member before moving to New Orleans to attend law school.

Upon graduating from law school, Emily joined Onebane’s Business and Commercial section, where she will focus on bankruptcy and creditors’ rights, business and commercial law, commercial transactions and lending, healthcare, and real estate matters.

Emily was born and raised in Lafayette and graduated from St. Thomas More Catholic High School in 2005. She enjoys the rich family life and local traditions of the  Lafayette community and is proud to call Lafayette home.
